Yes, your Polestar ID is created automatically when ordering your Polestar. You need to activate your Polestar ID within 30 days to be able to proceed with your order. This is done by clicking the link in the message sent to your provided e-mail address.
When you place your order, a Polestar ID will be created. An email will be sent to you to confirm your email address and create a password for your Polestar ID. Log in with your Polestar ID to access your order page. Your order confirmation will automatically load and guide you through the rest of the checkout journey, where you can access trade-in, your credit application, select Extras and more. Subsequently, your Polestar retailer will guide you through documents to sign, payment instructions, and confirm a handover time with you.
If you have placed an order for a custom-configurated Polestar, specification changes cannot be made once your order has been confirmed. Alternatively, if you have placed an order on new or pre-owned inventory, your selected Polestar Space may be able to change the vehicle assigned to your order. Please contact your Polestar retailer for further assistance.
- When you choose lease as your financing option, there is a limitation on the types of Extras that can be added to your order. This is due to the fact that the leasing providers are unable to include some types of Extras in your financing. You can still order all Extras separately in the Extras webshop (accessible from your account page) and have these Extras delivered in conjunction with the handover of your Polestar.
- When your order has been assigned a VIN-number, it will be available on your order page which you can access by logging in at Polestar.com with your Polestar ID.

- As our assortment of extras are sourced separately from our cars, we cannot guarantee delivery of Extras when you collect your car. Please check available options when ordering Extras in our webshop.
When placing your order, you will be given an estimated delivery time. The estimated delivery time will be updated on your order page and app with the progression of your order. As your estimated delivery time approaches, please contact your Polestar retailer for details about what to expect for your handover.
Production slot timing can only be guaranteed once we receive confirmation of your order, so we recommend completing your order as soon as you are able. Pre-orders that are not converted within six months will expire.
