Social Media and Polestar Community House Rules

The Social Media and Polestar Community House Rules define what is not acceptable for community members or other social media users to write or post on Polestar’s official channels. If these rules are violated Polestar has the right to delete comments and if necessary block users.

Comments made by the community do not necessarily reflect the opinion of Polestar, nor does Polestar confirm their accuracy.

In accordance with the platform’s Terms and Conditions, industry codes of practice and our own commitment to the Polestar community, we always reserve the right to delete disruptive, profane or socially irresponsible comments and uploads and to block persistently disruptive users.

Specifically, we do not tolerate posts of this kind:

  • Abusive, harassing, stalking, threatening or attacking others

  • Defamatory, offensive, obscene, vulgar or depicting violence

  • Hateful language targeting race/ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality or political belief

  • Fraudulent, deceptive, misleading or unlawful

  • Trolling or deliberate disruption of discussion

  • Violations of any intellectual property rights

  • Spamming in nature

  • Uploading files that contain viruses or programs that could damage the operation of other people’s computers

  • Commercial solicitation or solicitation of donations

  • Link baiting (embedding a link in your post to draw traffic to your own site)

We'll notify you when a removal results in restrictions to your account, Page or group.

Polestar Community House Rules

To add to the above, in our Polestar Community, the Polestar Community members must also adhere to the below.

Be respectful and kind

This is an open and friendly environment to connect with Polestar owners. Negative, sarcastic or mean posts and comments to other members are not allowed here. We love a good debate, but please respect each other and be kind. We'll not tolerate any inappropriate language or pictures.

Respect everyone's privacy

We highly value your privacy. By becoming a member of this group, you commit to respecting the privacy of fellow group members and agree not to share any content from this group outside of it. Additionally, please refrain from posting about personal cases to avoid disruptions to privacy. Instead, for inquiries of a personal nature that requires assistance on a more individualised level, we encourage you to reach out to Polestar Support.

Add value to the Polestar Community

This channel is dedicated to open discussions and connecting with other Polestar car owners. We're eager to address questions that benefit the community at large. Contributions should be both helpful and valuable; this is not the place for mere complaints. Instead, focus on asking questions, sharing tips, giving advice, or providing feedback to maintain a positive and engaging conversation.

Communicate in English only

This is an inclusive, global community. When starting and engaging in discussions, only do so in English. Any posts or comments submitted in languages other than English will not be approved.

Avoid repetitive messages

We appreciate a good conversation, but we want to avoid highly repetitive discussions that produce the same questions and answers. Therefore, we’re putting a soft limit on the number of times a specific topic is raised to avoid confusion. More specifically, we won’t accept any posts that solicit the asking and/or answering of the same topic many times in a row, but we’ll allow posts to come through if the topic hasn’t been raised after a period of silence.

Avoid spreading misinformation

We want to keep the community a safe place for open discussions. Therefore, we won’t tolerate any messages that contain sensitive information that poses a safety or legal risk to yourself, others, Polestar or Polestar cars. For example, posts or comments that may intentionally or unintentionally misinform others about the safety of our products, or those that contain confidential, personal information that compromises the wellbeing of Polestar and members of this community will not be allowed
