Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA)

Intelligent Speed Assist helps the driver stay below the speed limit by means of different warnings and with the option to limit the vehicle's propulsion.

Get to know Intelligent Speed Assist1

When the vehicle's speed exceeds the speed limit displayed in the road sign information, ISA warns the driver with a warning sound and the icon displaying the speed limit starts to flash. The driver can activate and deactivate the acoustic warning using the left steering wheel button. The acoustic warning starts a couple of seconds after the speed limit icon has started flashing and depends on how fast the driver is driving. The length of the acoustic warning and replay depends on the driver's driving behaviour and can be cancelled if the driver intends to slow down.

Automatic speed limiter

Intelligent Speed Assist's acoustic warning can be replaced by the automatic speed limiter which, with adaptive pedal response, helps the driver keep to the speed limit by limiting the vehicle's propulsion. Depressing the accelerator pedal more firmly pauses the function until the car's speed is below the speed limit or until the speed limit changes.

The function is activated in the centre display
Press PS2-2007-Car symbol
Select Driver Support>Automatic Speed Limiter
Activate Automatic Speed Limiter

 Note

When Pilot Assist or Adaptive Cruise Control is used, the acoustic warning cannot be replaced by adaptive pedal response.

 Note

Your car is designed to comply with the requirements of the EU Regulation on Intelligent Speed Assistance. The aim of the regulation is to make driving safer with functions that encourage drivers to keep below the legal speed limit.
