Performance

When it comes to electrification, Polestar is all in. We design our electric cars from the ground up, obsessing over every component. As a result, the battery of the Polestar 2 does more than provide power. Its design also makes sure that this five-door fastback offers very responsive handling.

All the components we use in the Polestar 2 have been made to improve performance. The battery pack is no exception, delivering more than enough capacity to meet any travel needs. Available as both a 69 kWh model in the Standard range Single motor version, and a 78 kWh model in both the Long range Single motor and the Long range Dual motor, it will provide between 294* and 336* miles on a full charge.

When we designed the battery pack for the Polestar 2, we decided to capitalise on its rigidity and weight. So we developed a set-up that makes the battery an integral part of the chassis, lowering the centre of gravity, reducing the inertia, and adding torsional stiffness to the car. The outcome is a roomy five-door fastback with the handling and responsiveness of a sports car.

With electric power, performance doesn’t have to equal loudness. To add to the natural silence of the Polestar 2, we’ve engineered the battery pack to further reduce noise, vibration and harshness by 3.7 dB, making the car exceptionally quiet.
