Design District London: Design Towards Zero panel

The most innovative ideas are brought about through creative collaboration. Ideas that have the power to change; to revolutionise the status quo and spark social and environmental change. By connecting thoughts, experiences, skills, and intuition, visionary endeavours, like design, can be elevated from good to great.

Creative coalitions are the difference between good ideas and truly innovative ones. That’s why we believe the future of car design is too important to just be the focus of car designers. By bringing different people, businesses, and industries together, we can challenge conventions and find new, more sustainable ways forward.

Therefore, we decided to host an interbranch panel discussion at Design District London, a new all-seasons hub and home to creators of all stripes. At our panel, dubbed “Design Towards Zero”, we sat down with Materials and Design Trend ForecasterSioban Imms, Urban Designer and Architect Hannah Corlett, and Polestar Head of Design Maximilian Missoni, to peek into what the future of electric, climate-neutral mobility might look like. Sam Livingstone, Founder of Car Design Research and Visiting Professor at the Royal College of Art in London, moderated the conversation.

And the outcome saw the birth of various innovative ideas targeting design towards zero. Watch this creative get-together, captured on film at Polestar – Design District Edition, above.
