Infotainment
Google built-in
Polestar 2's native Android Automotive OS was the world's first. Today, regular software improvements ensure the digital in-car experience is always optimised, while access to the latest in-car apps mean the experience remains cutting edge.
Voice control
A car that really hears you. Polestar 2 comes with Google¹ built-in, which includes the voice recognition capabilities of Google Assistant. These allow the driver to control music, climate settings, and other functions while their eyes stay on the road and their hands stay on the wheel. Just say “Ok Google” to get started.
Google Home integration
Turn on the living room lights from the driver’s seat. Enable the car’s climate controls from the dining room. Remote actions allow the driver to control vehicle functions and smart home devices from anywhere using voice commands, all within the Google¹ Home ecosystem.
Connectivity
Polestar 2 comes with secure internet access to browse the web, use in-car apps, stream music and podcasts, get real-time traffic information, and download the latest software updates. Because of the included three-year data coverage, Polestar 2 provides the most optimised functionality without exceeding the car’s bundle.
Over-the-air updates
Fully future-proof. Polestar 2 receives regular over-the-air updates for its infotainment system, apps, and car systems. The car automatically notifies the driver when the new software is ready to install, so it stays as cutting-edge as when it was first released.
Audio options
Sound quality that’s unheard of. Polestar 2 comes with a high-performance audio system that delivers a rich, nuanced sound throughout the cabin. The optional Harman Kardon Premium Sound system takes immersive in-car audio to a whole new level.
Audio system upgrade
Harman Kardon Premium Sound
Specifically engineered for Polestar 2, Harman Kardon Premium Sound delivers 600 watts of high-quality audio through 13 optimally placed speakers. Using advanced tuning software to eliminate sonic imperfections, the system produces a powerful, enveloping sound, regardless of where the listener is seated.
Available as an upgrade.
Audio system upgrade
Precise tuning
Harman Kardon Premium Sound composes the right acoustic environment, regardless of the type of music that is played. Built-in Dirac Unison™ software allows for more precise tuning, guaranteeing fidelity across all genres.
Audio system upgrade
A patented subwoofer
Listen to loud music discreetly. Harman Kardon Premium Sound includes an air-ventilated subwoofer mounted underneath the front windscreen. This patented design allows the speaker to pulse more air, enabling extremely low bass tones while minimising noise outside the car.
Standard audio system
High-performance audio
High-fidelity listening. Polestar 2’s standard audio system pumps out 250 watts of power through 8 speakers, filling the cabin with a deep, rich, and clean sound.
Standard audio system
Superior spectrum sound
The system’s specialised bass drivers, high-frequency tweeters and front-mounted air woofer improve sonic accuracy while reducing overall distortion. The result is a new level of precision and a bass sound that’s punchy and uncluttered.
Centre display
All Polestar 2 software runs on Android™ Automotive OS, integrating the infotainment system with the car’s technical systems. Various performance and safety functions can be controlled directly from the centre display, using a clean, intuitive, and minimalistic interface.
Driver display
Don’t get distracted. Polestar 2’s 12.3” digital driver display has two preconfigured modes, only showing the essential information. In Calm mode it displays the car’s speed and battery status, while Navigation mode focuses on route planning and traffic updates.
Driver profiles
Polestar 2 can store the preferred settings for up to six drivers. Upon detecting an authorised key, the in-car software loads the matching profile and adjusts the seat position, mirrors, steering feel, and one-pedal drive mode accordingly. It'll also bring up favourite apps and playlists.
In-car apps
The infotainment system runs many familiar apps optimised for the in-car experience. Some have been redeveloped to interact with the car’s systems for an even more enhanced driving experience. Updates and new apps can be downloaded on Google Play¹, using the centre display.

Polestar app
Connect with the car. The Polestar 2 app can be used to activate the climate system, set the climate timers, check battery status, and lock and unlock the doors.
