Settings for locking and unlocking

You can customise how your car reacts when locking or unlocking.

 Note

Different settings affect how and when your car is locked. Make sure to familiarise yourself with the different options and how they affect the locking and unlocking behaviours.

Locking and unlocking at a distance

You can enable or disable the car's automatic unlocking when you approach it and locking when you leave it while carrying a distance-capable key.

General locking behaviour

You can customise many of your car's general locking behaviours. For example, you can set the windows to automatically close when the car locks.

It's also possible to choose which doors unlock when you use the touch points on the door handles.

Presence warning

The presence warning setting allows the car to remind you that there may be passengers or pets still in the car after you lock it.

 Warning

Polestar recommends not leaving people or pets in a locked car.

Some regions have laws prohibiting people or pets being left inside a locked vehicle.
