Google built-in
Integrated Google¹ services in Polestar 2 simplify navigation, respond to your voice commands, and even control your smart home devices.

Google Maps
With functionalities like battery minded route planning, live updates, and route-to-car, Google Maps makes daily commutes or driving to new destinations simpler in every way.

Google Assistant
Polestar 2 comes with Google built-in, which includes the voice recognition capabilities of Google Assistant. Simple voice commands can adjust the music, climate settings, and other functions, allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

Google Home integration
Communicate with any compatible Google Home device via voice commands. Because setting the thermostat or turning on the kitchen lights from the driveway is the new way to say “I’m home”.

Google Play Store
The infotainment system runs many familiar apps optimised for the in-car experience. Some have been redeveloped to interact with the car’s systems for an even more enhanced driving experience. Updates and new apps can be downloaded on Google Play via the centre display.
Audio systems
The Bowers & Wilkins or the Harman Kardon sound systems are optional audio configurations for Polestar 2. Each come bundled with unique features that elevate the acoustic in-car experience.

Bowers & Wilkins for Polestar
Renowned in the world of sound, Bowers & Wilkins have paved the way for cutting-edge audio technology. The bespoke Bowers & Wilkins sound system in Polestar 2 delivers 1,350 watts of hi-fidelity sound via 14 precisely placed speakers, resulting in a true-to-studio listening experience.

Tweeter-on-Top
Bowers & Wilkins’ Tweeter-on-Top technology is proof of a true obsession to innovation. It delivers higher frequency sounds with clear, natural details, making music feel life-like across all genres.

Continuum™ technology
The Continuum™ cone, known from Bowers & Wilkins’ latest products, can also be found in the mid-range speakers of Polestar 2. They minimise distortion and help produce perfectly referenced mid-range sounds, resulting in a crystal-clear soundscape with unmatched width.
QuantumLogic Immersion (QLI)
QLI uses complex signal processing to deliver sounds with authenticity and equal distribution throughout the entire cabin. This ensures sound reaches listeners as if they were front and centre, no matter where they’re sitting.
Harman Kardon premium sound
Specifically engineered for Polestar 2, Harman Kardon premium sound delivers 600 watts of high-quality audio through 13 optimally placed speakers. Using advanced tuning software to eliminate sonic imperfections, the system produces a powerful, enveloping sound, regardless of where the listener is seated.

Precise tuning
Harman Kardon premium sound creates the optimal acoustic environment, regardless of the type of music that is played. Built-in Dirac Unison™ software allows for more precise tuning, guaranteeing fidelity across all genres.

A patented subwoofer
Harman Kardon premium sound includes an air-ventilated subwoofer mounted underneath the windscreen. This patented design allows the speaker to pulse more air to create satisfying bass tones while minimising noise outside the car.
Displays
Informative without being overwhelming. The displays in Polestar 2 show everything a driver needs to see while minimising distraction.

Android Automotive OS
Powered by Android Automotive OS¹ and presented with a Polestar-developed interface, Polestar 2’s infotainment system is as intuitive to use as the car is to drive.

Over-the-air updates
Polestar 2 receives regular over-the-air updates for its infotainment system, apps, and car systems. The car automatically notifies the driver when the new software is ready to install, so it stays as cutting-edge as when it was first released.
Smartphone connectivity
Apple CarPlay¹ and Android Auto¹ combine connectivity and flexibility, allowing drivers to connect their smartphone device to Polestar 2 for a more personalised infotainment experience.
Apple CarPlay
Wired Apple CarPlay allows a compatible iPhone to be connected via Polestar 2’s USB-C media port and controlled using the car’s centre display or voice commands. Listen to music, make phone calls, get driving instructions, or use Siri¹, all while remaining focused on the road.
Android Auto
With Android Auto, drivers can connect an Android device to Polestar 2 through its USB-C media port. Compatible apps become accessible via the centre display, and Google Assistant makes answering calls and queuing music entirely hands-free via voice commands.
Polestar app
With the Polestar app, Polestar drivers can interact with their vehicle straight from their mobile device. A few taps is all it takes to set climate timers, check the battery status, and lock and unlock Polestar 2.

Digital Key
Unlock a keyless experience. The Plus pack upgrades Polestar 2’s hardware, enabling the driver’s smartphone to work as an authentication device. Install the Polestar app, set it up, and the car will recognise the phone, allowing the doors to be locked and unlocked by gripping the handle.

Driver profiles
Polestar 2 can store the preferred settings for up to six drivers. Upon detecting an authorised key, the in-car software loads the matching profile and adjusts the seat position, mirrors, all drive settings, and more. It'll also bring up favourite apps and playlists.
