Locking and unlocking with Digital Key
The car can be locked or unlocked using the Digital Key app. Just having your phone with you in a pocket or your hand is enough to unlock the doors and the boot lid.
The phone must be outside the car and within a radius of approx. 5 metres from the car in order to be able to lock or unlock it using the keyless function.
Start Digital Key and make sure that Bluetooth is enabled.
Give a gentle press on the marked button on the door handle, or tap on Lock/Unlock in the app.
The handle is extended and the car door can be opened.
The car is locked with a gentle press on the protruding part of the door handle, on which the door handle is retracted automatically. Do not press the handle inward. Otherwise the car will not lock itself.
The boot lid is unlocked by means of a kicking motion behind the left rear tyre.
Note
Be aware of the risk of locking the key or the phone in the cargo area when closing.
Note
If it is not possible to unlock or lock the car with Digital Key:
- Check that the phone is not blocked in a sturdy bag, for example.
- Check that Bluetooth is activated and that the phone is connected to the car.
- Check that the Digital Key app is not shut down due to battery saving settings in the phone. Contact the phone supplier if you need assistance.
- Try tapping on Lock/Unlock in the app.
- Check that there is an active digital key.
- Try disabling the Wi-Fi, as some Wi-Fi networks can block authentication of the digital key.
- Try moving the phone slightly closer to or away from the car. The car may identify the phone as being inside the car or too far away from the car.
- Try restarting the app.
- If the Bluetooth connection is not working, try deleting the information stored in the phone (cache memory). Contact the phone supplier if you need assistance.
