Makka – Polestar edition by CAKE
In every relationship, there’s a point where it gets taken to the next level.
We’ve been in a committed relationship with Swedish electric motorcycle manufacturers CAKE for a while now. Mutual admirers of each other’s products, attitude, and dedication to more sustainable electric mobility, we’ve clicked since day one. We’ve hosted events together. We’ve even moved in together. And now, we’re putting our vehicles together.
Makka, CAKE’s recently released short-haul city commuter, is a “lightweight state-of-the-art machine with an emphasis on power-to-weight ratio, ease of riding, reach, durability, and efficient carrying of loads”. Designed as an an elegant, fun solution to growing urban congestion, the Makka boasts the same minimalistic, detail-oriented design that is a CAKE hallmark.
Makka – Polestar edition by CAKE is a new take on the instant classic. Featuring a slim LED headlight, an Öhlins rear shock, black detailing, and a frame and battery cover realised in a matte version of Polestar Snow, this incarnation of the Makka adds a distinctive Polestar touch to what is unmistakably a CAKE creation.

This urban shuttle is one half of CAKE and Polestar’s initiative to tackle both pollution and overcrowding, with Polestar 2 being the other. Fully electric powertrains and minimalistic design link the two vehicles. A genuine desire to bring society into an all-electric age links the two brands. And this bike, available in Polestar’s recently launched web shop along with hoodies and other lifestyle products, links the customer to a truly unrestricted electric future. Whether four wheels or two, zero-emission mobility is available in all situations.
“Instead of wasting time in traffic, finding a parking spot, or squashing up in a crowded subway train, we together with the team at Polestar want to make the future of mobility flexible, accessible, and emission free,” states CAKE Founder and CEO Stefan Ytterborn.
“Makka – Polestar edition by CAKE is the next step in our brand collaboration and it gives us a chance to tackle broader mobility challenges,” says Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath. “The lightweight bike connects with Polestar 2 via a cord that allows it to charge from our car, ready to tackle inner cities as well as explore the countryside.”
Our relationship with CAKE is one of mutual admiration and a shared objective. And with Makka – Polestar edition by CAKE, it’s just gone to the next level.
