The lead time depends on the choice you make when you place an order. If you opt for a pre-configured car, it can be delivered to you in a matter of weeks because your new Polestar 2 has already been built. When you want to configure the car yourself, it still has to be manufactured and therefore added to the production queue. For obvious reasons, this process will take longer and the lead time will vary, depending on factors such as the number of ongoing orders. As a result, we can only give an estimate of the delivery date once the order is placed. Please note that an ongoing leasing contract may also affect the lead time and that company car drivers should always place an order through their employer or leasing company.

If you've placed your order directly with us, you can contact Polestar Support for more information on the delivery date, registration, and other updates. For cars purchased through a leasing company, we refer you to their support department since they have ordered your Polestar 2 and are the legal owner.

A Polestar ID is a user account linked to the email address that you entered when you placed your order. It will give you online access to your order information, as well as allow the use of car control functionalities once you have the car. Along with the order confirmation, we will send you an email with a Polestar ID activation link. Please make sure that you activate the account and update your password within 30 days of receiving the link.

The order information is only displayed if you log in with the email address that was used to place the order. If you need to change the email address for your Polestar ID, please contact Polestar Support or your leasing company.

Once the original activation link has expired, you should automatically receive a new one that is valid for another 30 days. If you did not receive an email with this link or did not manage to activate your account within 30 days, you can contact Polestar Support for help.
