Locking and unlocking using Digital Key
The vehicle can be locked or unlocked using the Digital Key app. To unlock the doors and trunk lid, the phone only needs to be within range, e.g. in your hand or pocket.
For keyless locking or unlocking of the vehicle to be possible, the phone must be within a 5 meter (16.4 feet) radius from the vehicle.
Start Digital Key and make sure that Bluetooth is activated.
Lightly press the marked button on the door handle or tap Lock/unlock in the app.
The handle will be extended and the door can be opened.
Lightly pressing the protrusion on the door handle will lock the vehicle and the door handle will retract automatically. Do not push in the handle. Pushing in the handle will prevent the vehicle from locking.
The trunk lid can be unlocked by making a kicking motion behind the left-side rear tire.
Note
Be aware of the risk of locking your key or phone in the trunk when closing the lid.
Note
If it is not possible to unlock or lock the vehicle with Digital Key:
- Check that the phone is not blocked in e.g. a thick bag.
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled and that the phone is paired with the vehicle.
- Make sure that the Digital Key app is not shutting down due to battery-saving settings in your phone. Contact your phone service supplier if you need assistance.
- Try tapping Lock/unlock in the app.
- Make sure that there is an active digital key.
- Try disconnecting Wi-Fi. Some Wi-Fi connections can block authentication of the digital key.
- Try moving the phone a little closer or further away from the vehicle. The vehicle may be interpreting the phone as being inside the vehicle or too far from the vehicle.
- Try to restart the app.
- If the Bluetooth connection isn't working, try deleting your phone's stored information (clearing your cache memory). Contact your phone service supplier if you need assistance.
