Removing link between vehicle and Polestar 1 app
Polestar ID is personal and does not need to be changed or deleted it if you sell your vehicle. However, you do need to end ownership, remove the link between the Polestar 1 app and your vehicle, and delete all personal user data from the vehicle.
Log in to the Polestar 1 app. If you do not have access to the app, contact your Polestar Customer Support retailer and explain that you want to sell your vehicle.
Go to the More tab.
Select Connected vehicles.
Select the relevant vehicle.
Under Ending ownership, select I no longer own this Polestar and then enter your PIN code for Polestar Connect. This deletes your user history, your driving journal and other user accounts.
Contact Polestar Customer Support, who will delete your contact details in their system.
If possible, inform the buyer that they should contact Polestar Customer Support to reactivate the Polestar Connect subscription and provide their contact information.
Polestar Connect will remain active until the end of the subscription period.
