Managing driving journals with the Polestar 1 app

The Polestar 1 app can automatically create a drive log which allows you to view a summary of your vehicle journeys. It is possible, for example, to categorize and name trips, and to export the driving journal.

Activating or deactivating the driving journal

Go to the More tab.
Select App settings.
Select Settings for driving journal.
Select to turn your Driving journal on/off.

When your driving journal is activated, all users that are connected to your account can see the trips made with your vehicle. Journeys made over the last 100 days are saved. If the driving journal is deactivated, your vehicle stops sending information on new journeys. None of the phones connected to your account will be able to see new entries in the journal log.

Note that existing journeys are not deleted if the driving journal is disabled.

Export Driving journal

It is possible to transfer the data from the driving journal to other formats. This function can be used, for example, to create corporate car expense reports. It stores information about the trips made with your vehicle over the past 100 days. To avoid losing information about trips older than 100 days, it is advisable to export the driving journal to your email.

Go to the Vehicle tab.
Select Driving journal.
Tap Editing.
Mark the journey(s) you want to export.
Press the e-mail symbol.
You now have the option of sending the journal log as an Excel, CSV or text file. The file can be opened on the computer with programs such as Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, Google Docs or OpenOffice.org Calc.

Categorize trips

In the driving journal view it is possible to categorize trips according to Work, Private or Uncategorized. The trips can be filtered according to categories and you also have the possibility to choose the displayed range according to time interval.

Remove trip from Driving journal

Go to the Vehicle tab.
Select Driving journal.
Tap Editing.
Mark the journey(s) you want to delete.
Select the trash can symbol at the top of the screen and press Delete.

If multiple accounts are connected to the vehicle, all will see the same view from the Polestar Connect data server. This means that if you delete, rename or group trips on your phone, the change will also take effect for all users viewing the information.

Name trips

You can name your trips and also add notes.

Go to the Vehicle tab.
Select Driving journal.
Tap on the journey you want to edit.
Press Title and name the trip.
Tap Note to add your own notes.
