Activating and deactivating Sport mode for Electronic Stability Control
The stability system (ESC1) is always activated and cannot be switched off. However, the driver can select Sport mode, which offers more active driving characteristics. With Sport mode selected, interventions from the ESC system will be reduced, the vehicle will be permitted to skid more, and greater control than usual will be transferred to the driver.
When sport mode is activated, this symbol will illuminate with a steady glow in the instrument panel and remain on until the function is deactivated or the vehicle switched off. The system will return to normal mode the next time the vehicle is started.
Note
The stability function is switched off if Sport Mode is activated in the center display.
