Testvinner: oppgraderte Polestar 2
Norsk og internasjonal presse hyller den oppgraderte Polestar 2. Utleveringer av bilen begynte i August og nå har de første anmeldelsene fra pressen blitt publisert. Oppgraderingene hos Long-range versjonene inkluderer et større batteri på 82 kWh, rekkevidde opp til 655 km (WLTP) og hurtiglading opp til 205 kW. De nye motorene er mer effektive og Single-motor versjonene har blitt mer effektive samtidig som de har gått til bakhjulsdrift. Hjemme i Norge ble Polestar 2 nummer to i NAFs rekkevidde test (sommer 2023).

«Selv denne bakhjulsdrevne modellen må sies å være ganske underholdende å kjøre, og den oppfattes som svært sprek til ikke å ha firehjulstrekk. I tillegg har Polestar gått fra et forhjulsdrevet, til et bakhjulsdrevet utgangspunkt. Frontmotoren kobles fri når belastningen ikke er stor, og drivlinjen er blitt mer effektiv. Dermed er rekkevidden også økt med nesten 90 kilometer på testbilen. 558 kilometer er såpass langt at selv om vær og føre spiller inn, blir ikke rekkevidde noe tema lenger. Spesielt når batteriet kan hurtiglades på over 200 kW. Dette er merkbare forbedringer.»
